We collaborate and inform sustainable development of idaho's urban forest.

Our story

Trees Idaho represents a new name and a new opportunity for us to serve all of the Gem State, but we’ve been building community through tree planting in the Treasure Valley for over a decade. Over the course of the past ten years our team has grown deep roots in the Treasure Valley, serving the nine cities of this region, partnering with other non-profit organizations, private companies and citizens to plan for, plant and grow trees. Through the growth of our partnerships, our shared vision and action supports a healthy and thriving urban forest that brings joy and community connection to downtowns and neighborhoods all across SW Idaho. As we have grown our impact in this metro region, we have heard from other cities and organizations across the state — how can we work with you, we need a network to help our community plant and care for trees. Well, now is that time — our team has developed proven programs and partnerships that are shovel-ready to grow and serve all of Idaho!

As we expand statewide, we will need your help! We have strong roots, a dedicated team and a vision to grow our impact and serve all Idaho communities. As we expand our brand, messaging and programming, we will need your support, engagement and partnership. If you’re interested to learn more, have ideas and the enthusiasm to volunteer, have the financial resources to support us as a sponsor or contributing member — please reach-out so that you can connect and grow with us!

Our mission

Trees Idaho builds healthy and vibrant Idaho communities.

Three key tenets frame our mission:

Collaborate – Toward projects, programs, and policies that connect our built and natural environments

Innovate – Through development of new ideas, resources, and opportunities for connecting and creating thriving built and natural environments

Sustain – By developing a culture of commitment to design that returns urban forest benefits in balance with our urban infrastructure, economy, and society
