THE GUIDE — 2ND EDITION

The 2nd Edition of the Treasure Valley Tree Selection Guide was published in January 2024. The original TV Tree Selection Guide was developed by over twenty public, private, and non-profit industry partners and facilitated by Treasure Valley Canopy Network and Mary Jane Marlow with Canopi Design in 2008.

This comprehensive regional tree selection guide recommends tree species for planting in various landscape settings throughout our region. The 2nd Edition represents added diversity of tree species, additional information about species most suited to benefit wildlife, pollinators, and fire and climate resilient species.
