  • Check out the available trees below by clicking on each picture to learn more about each tree’s characteristics and view photos of the tree. When trees arrive, they will be in 7 - 15 gallon pots, ranging from 3-6 feet tall!

Once you decide, click ‘select this tree’ and follow the prompts to reserve your tree. During the checkout process, you can choose to purchase a tree watering bag or add a donation to Trees Idaho.

Please note that there are limited numbers of each tree, and supplies are first-come, first-served. One tree per household.

Trees can be planted in your yard. If you are looking for a tree in the public right-of-way (between the curb and sidewalk), contact your City’s forestry department.

  • Your selected tree will be available for pick up starting April 16th in your city. You will receive an email with details of the exact location and day.

  • The importance of matching the tree and its growth requirements to the planting site cannot be overemphasized. Selecting a tree that meets the site conditions is the single most important factor in achieving its success. When space allows, consider planting larger-stature trees over smaller-stature trees. In the long run, large trees provide exponentially higher environmental benefits. Learn more about tree placement on page 5 of the Treasure Valley Tree Selection Guide.

Before digging: Call 811 or request locates through Digline.

  • All trees need water! We recommend deep watering your tree immediately after planting and consistently through the summer months. This can be done with installed irrigation systems, soaker hoses, and other methods.

Trees Idaho provides tree watering bags at a discounted rate. Simply add to your cart during the checkout process!

Additional young tree care tips will be sent out after receiving your new tree.
